Steve Schneider and Eileen Hansen Retire

January 2, 2022 By Mark Page Leave a Comment

On December 21st, 2021 @ 5:00pm, folks gathered at Babe’s Bar and Grill in Lakeville to send off Steve Schneider and Eileen Hansen into retirement.  They were both presented a gold watch from CWA Local 7270.

Steve began his career with Central Telephone Company on May 14th, 1979.  He has worked with many great people over the years as the company grew and changed names several times.  Great working and personal relationships also grew as well as Steve’s talents.  Talents that will be missed!  Steve is looking forward to relaxing into his retirement and spending more time with his family.  Thanks, Steve, for your 42 years of service!  Your sisters and brothers at CWA Local 7270 wish you all the best.

Eileen started working for Frontier on September 5th, 1995.  She started out in the residential call center and has moved to different positions within the company.  Eileen always seems to show a smile and was eager to help.  Her knowledge and professionalism will be difficult to replace.  Eileen is looking forward to spending more time around her new home.  Many projects are planned to get it finished just the way she likes.  Thank you, Eileen for your 26 years of service!  Your sisters and brothers at CWA Local 7270 wish you the best!

Mark Page Sworn In As New Vice-president

December 12, 2021 By Mark Page Leave a Comment

On December 7th, 2021,  CWA 7270 held a local meeting at the VFW in Rosemount, MN.  Due to the bad weather, there wasn’t much of a turnout.  But, several topics were discussed, including:  Covid vaccinations, an extension to the current work at home program, new employees,  retiring employees,  technician concerns, grievances, and preparing for contract bargaining next year.  At the close of the meeting, President Carson Turnquist did the honor of swearing in our new Vice-president, Mark Page.

“I am honored and excited to be the local’s new Vice-president!  I am looking forward to be a part of the new leadership team.  We work well together and have new and exciting ideas that will help our local.   I have been with Frontier for 26 years and have been involved in helping where I can.  I have been a steward, Chief Steward, Election Committee Chair, and Executive Board member.  I maintain the local’s website, designed forms, helped maintain our seniority roster, and performed membership dues audit.  I have organized and been involved with several fund raising efforts and community services such as:  The March of Dimes walks, Toys for Tots, Fuzz Fozz (stuffed animals for Law Enforcement to give to kids), Polar Bear Plunge, Farmington Dew Days Parade, and Burnsville Road-side cleanup.”

Please reach out to me with your ideas, concerns, or just to say hello!  I look forward to getting to know everyone!   mpage@cwa7270.org    612-940-3473
