Joe Beirne Foundation’s 2025-2026 Scholarship
About the Scholarship.
Sixteen partial college scholarships of $4,000 each are being offered for the 2025-2026 school year. Winners, selected in a lottery drawing, also will receive second-year scholarships of the same amount contingent upon satisfactory academic accomplishment. Part-time students, less than 12 credits, will receive half of the scholarship monies.
Eligible for the awards are CWA members and their spouses, children and grandchildren, including those of retired or deceased members.

CWA 7270 State Membership Meeting
Our State Membership meeting at the Lakeville Holiday Inn is scheduled for, Sunday, November 3rd, 2024. Breakfast / brunch will begin at 9:30am with the membership meeting starting at 10:00am. Attendance is strongly recommended due to the introduction, discussion, and voting on Work Rule and By-Law changes. Your local Executive Board has been reviewing our local finances and has recommended some changes. We will also be taking nominations for our 2026 Bargaining Committee at this meeting.
CWA 7270 State Meeting
CWA 7270 Annual State Meeting is fast approaching. It will be held on November 12th, 2023 at the Holiday Inn, 20800 Kenrick Ave, Lakeville, MN. Brunch will be served from 9:30am to 10:30am. Our meeting will immediately follow. Winners of the door prizes will be drawn at the conclusion of the meeting. You must be present to win.

The health and safety of our employees are our top priority. We believe the best way
to keep everyone safe is to follow the Center of Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC) guidelines (as of September 21, 2023).
If you test positive for COVID-19:
- Contact your medical provider and supervisor to let them know immediately.
- Stay home for at least 5 days and isolate from others in your home.
- Wear a high-quality mask if you must be around others at home or in public.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.
- Individuals at higher risk of severe illness, such as older adults and those with
underlying medical conditions, should take extra precautions and consult their
healthcare providers. - You can return to work after 24 hours of no fever without help from over-thecounter medication.
See CDC guidelines for isolation and quarantine instructions if you test positive or are
in close contact with someone who has.
To prevent catching or spreading COVID-19: - Social distance, especially in a crowded setting.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.
- Regular COVID-19 testing, especially for individuals with symptoms or
potential exposure, is recommended.
10.Follow CDC travel guidelines and be aware of travel restrictions or
requirements at your destination.
11.The CDC strongly encourages all eligible individuals to receive the COVID-19
vaccine.

practices accordingly.
