Once you input this information it will tell you who your US Representative is.Representative I am a resident of Minnesota who resides in your district and I am writing this letter because I need your help. I am very concerned about the current cost of Healthcare and the financial impact that it is having on the working families in this country. Healthcare costs of employer-sponsored premiums have risen at over three times the rate of the average wage increase, while the number of uninsured Americans continually increased, presently approaching 47 million people. American’s in 2007 spent over $2 trillion dollars on healthcare, that is over $7,000 per person and nearly twice the amount of other developed countries. If we continue down this path of financial destruction, by the year 2025, one out of every four dollars in our national economy will be tied up in the health care system. We need your help and we need to act now!!! I am asking for your support of meaningful “Healthcare Reform” that will put costs into perspective and restore stability within the healthcare system. The following issues appear to be paramount and should be included in any bill that is passed in the US House: All employers should be responsible for insuring their workers. This will help to level the playing field between present employers who insure their employees and those that do not. This will help to reduce overall costs as we all presently pay for expenses incurred by the uninsured. Guarantee coverage for all pre-Medicare retiree’s. The number of American’s in this group who have employer-provided coverage is decreasing at an alarming rate. They need help!!!! Guarantee Americans a choice of private or public health insurance plans. This will help reduce costs by increasing competition. If current Medicare is used as the blueprint for public health insurance it is a must that the payment structure be adjusted to fairly compensate all in the healthcare industry no matter what state they do business in. Do NOT Tax the health care benefits of working families. A tax on the ever decreasing middle class would be devastating to working families who currently are struggling just to exist. I would appreciate your response to my concerns via the US Mail at the below address. Sincerely,
